Bringing Designs.AI to Life: A Seamless Design Experience

The Idea Behind Designs.AI

Struggling to create a poster, logo, or video without design skills? Designs.AI makes it easy! This user-friendly tool lets anyone generate stunning designs in just a few clicks—no experience needed. This project explores how it works and how we can enhance it.

Understanding User Challenges

When people think about designing something—whether it’s a social media post or a business logo—they often face three key struggles:

✅ Lack of Inspiration - “Where do I even start?”

✅ Limited Design Knowledge – “I want my logo to look professional, but I don’t know how.”

✅ Complex Design Software – “Tools like Photoshop seem too complicated for me.”

These challenges often push users to either hire a designer or spend hours trying to figure out a complicated tool. But what if there was a simpler, more intuitive way?

Learning from the Best: Competitor Study

To refine our approach, we studied industry leaders like Canva, Crello, and Placeit. Canva, in particular, stands out as the most widely used tool, offering everything from logo design to marketing materials, all within an easy-to-use interface.We analyzed what works well in these platforms and identified areas where Designs.AI could stand out.

Enhancing the User Experience

Based on our research, we implemented three key improvements to make the design experience smoother and more intuitive:

Optimized Workspace – We divided the content and workspace to give users a clutter-free area to create.
Smart Design Recommendations – Users receive template suggestions based on the category they are working on.
Clearer User Goals – We organized design options based on what users want to achieve, helping them find the right tool faster.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough of the Design Process

1. The Dashboard: Your Creative Hub

When users land on the dashboard, they get instant access to:

A shared design library for inspiration
Easy navigation to the four main tools (videomaker, logo maker, design maker, and mockup maker)
A quick way to resume past projects and make edits

2. The Edit Area: Simplifying the Creative Process

The side menu plays a crucial role in keeping the design process smooth. We designed it to:

Separate design elements into clear categories
Allow multi-element editing without confusion
Keep navigation clean, so users always know what action they are taking

By streamlining this area, users can focus on creating, rather than figuring out where things are.

3. User Flow: Making Design Effortless

Our goal was to make designing as simple as possible.

Users start by choosing a design category from the dashboard
They browse and select templates that fit their needs
Inside the editor, they adjust elements, resize, and publish

We also made it possible to collapse menus, giving users more space to focus on their work.

Beyond the Core Tools: Additional Features

Alongside the four main design tools, we introduced small but powerful features to make designing even easier:

✏️ Font Pairing Tool – Helps match fonts for a cohesive and professional look.

📅 Calendar Tool – Keeps track of important dates and festivals, ensuring timely designs.
